Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied finalise divorce after quietly splitting amid cheating rumours

Natalie Portman and her husband of more than a decade, Benjamin Millepied, finalised their divorce in silence after 11 years of marriage.

The pair divorced last month in France, where they lived together as a family. The two were married for 11 years and share two children together, son Aleph, 12, and daughter Amalia, seven.

Natalie and Benjamin met on the set of the 2010 film, Black Swan. He choreographed the film in which Natalie won Best Actress at the Oscars in 2011.

It was reported that Benjamin had cheated on the Oscar winning actress with a 25-year-old woman named Camille Étienne.

During an interview with Vanity Fair, Natalie addressed the cheating rumours and the interviewer asked Natalie how she felt when the rumours first began circulating.

"It's terrible. I have no desire to contribute to it," she said. She didn't confirm or deny any cheating but it still showed that Natalie is not here for the rumour mill.

The cheating rumours started when Benjamin and Camille were photographed leaving his office together. Shortly after, People claimed that a source told them the affair was "short lived" and Benjamin was "doing all he could to get Natalie to forgive him and keep their family together."

Natalie and her estranged husband reunited at the FIFA Women's World Cup final in August 2023, according to the Daily Mail. In snaps obtained and published by the outlet, the pair, along with their 12-year-old son Aleph, were seen watching the match in Sydney, Australia. It was unknown if this sighting was a sign of them trying to make it work.

One thing for sure though is that Natalie has been keeping herself busy. She recently starred as Elizabeth Berry in the 2023 film May December. The Todd Haynes film received critical praise as it is about a married couple buckling under pressure when a Hollywood actress meets them to do research on their past for a film. Other than the Black Swan, Natalie is known for many other movies, including Closer, V for Vendetta and León: The Professional.

Millepied is not only a choreographer but also a director. He made his directorial debut with Carmen,"starring Paul Mescal and Melissa Barrera, back in 2022 The filmed opened at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival.
